The U.S. Navy’s largest training installation went on lockdown Friday morning, according to their official Facebook page.
“LOCKDOWN FOR NAVSTA GREAT LAKES. RUN, HIDE, FIGHT! ALL PERSONNEL, LOCKDOWN. TAKE COVER IN NEAREST BUILDING OR STRUCTURE. AWAIT INSTRUCTION. ALL GATES ARE CLOSED,” read the post from U.S. Naval Station Great Lakes in Illinois.
The military said they were looking for a someone who entered the base without authorization. “We are looking for a gate runner,” the post said.
No other details were immediately available.
